Melon and Prosciutto Bites

This is a copycat of the appetizer that I had at my friend’s company party that I attended a few years ago in Bellevue, WA. This is so easy and simple, but I am adding this to our online family cookbook, so I won’t forget! 😀 I recently discovered a kind of melon called “Orange dew” that is similar to cantaloupe and we like it a bit better than cantaloupe… If you find it at your grocery, you might want to try it.

Make about 30

Ingredients

  • about a half of orangedew or cantaloupe or your choice of melon, seeded and cut in bite size cubes

  • about 10 basil leaves, thinly sliced (depends of the size of the leaves…)

  • 2 packages of prosciutto, cut into about 1” long

Instructions

  1. On each toothpick, place melon, prosciutto and basil. That’s it!
